The air was sweet and earthy.The ground had been washed clean of the blood that had been spilled there.His eyes search the sky for signs of reason.His mind was rolling over the memories of their last days together.His hands were shaking uncontrollably.His heart was consumed by a sorrow that cut so deep it would never mend.He was gone. Never again would Arthur behold his face, his smile, or his love.Lancelot was gone, and so was Arthur's soul!
